Applications for CAP membership are open across all three divisions:
Analysts: First-year students
Senior Analysts: Students in their second year or above
We welcome students of all majors and experience levels to explore finance, learn together, and support one another’s goals.

To get the most out of the application process, we strongly encourage prospective applicants to attend an information session and/or speak with a current member through a coffee chat. You should also visit us at our table during the Activities Fair.

Meet individually with a CAP member to learn about their experience, explore our three divisions, and ask questions about membership and recruitment.

Learn more about CAP’s divisions, education programs, member experience, and recruitment process. RSVPs are encouraged, but walk-ins are welcome.

Explore each division’s page and speak with our members to find the best fit for your interests. You can switch divisions after being accepted into CAP, so your initial choice does not have to be permanent. Regardless of division, all CAP members are welcome to attend education programs and division meetings across the organization at their discretion.

CAP typically welcomes 12-15 new members in each division each year, allowing us to maintain a close-knit community and provide each member with individualized mentorship, recruiting support, and opportunities for involvement.

Absolutely! CAP hosts a number of open events throughout the year for the broader Columbia and Barnard community, including speaker events, industry events, competitions, and selected workshops. Membership is not required to participate in these open events.

Yes. CAP typically offers a smaller, expedited recruitment cycle in the spring. Students interested in applying in the spring are strongly encouraged to stay involved with CAP events throughout the fall. Consistent engagement is a great way to learn more about CAP and our community before applying.
